Very interesting read – also just read another essay about Nike’s use of 3D printing. Would echo comments above that it would be interesting to see who wins in this space and what the broader competitive landscape is. How are the cost structures going to change in the future? What is the demand for this kind of product in the broader consumer segment vs the star athlete segment?

Awesome essay! Very interested in reading more about Nike’s use of 3D printing. Also agree with Mandy above, I’m interested in learning more about why this product was rolled out first for higher profile users vs the mass audience. Wondering if it was to maintain their dominant position against Adidas.

Very interesting essay and very interesting shift in company strategy. I initially thought this was a smart strategic move on behalf of Nokia, but I agree with WilliamKnightly’s comment above that the creation of this new environment provides ideas for other companies to use. I also worry about Nokia’s ability to execute on this going forward.

Great essay! I think a smart way forward for Spotify could be to invest more in the podcast or even documentary space, which should make it a broader stop for entertainment. An additional avenue is investing in hosting more music videos, or becoming a platform for younger artists.

Very interesting piece – thanks for the research. Machine learning also has large implications for other operations within financial services, including risk management. It will be interesting to see the impact of machine learning on the development and usage of models for risk management, including pricing models, liquidity models and capital adequacy planning models.

This is a really interesting application of open innovation – thank you for the research. I am interested in understanding what factors will shape the reach of the program going forward. Agreed with comments above that increased usage will create a multiplier effect on user base.
