I wonder if their data set is learning from the correct source or if they should be diversifying as new words are added to the English language each day.
Very interesting article. Similar to the note above, I don’t think that consumers are ready for 3D printing when it comes to edible goods. If Hershey’s is trying to make this a competitive advantage for their company, they may fail because people may not trust a machine creating their chocolate. I would recommend shelfing this idea and go back to the basics.

However, I do worry that once this becomes common practice that Nike’s competitors will begin offering custom sized shoes (or the consumer will). This could really drive the prices up for Nike as a company.

Do you think there could be any downsides to this? What happens if the data the chatbot is receiving becomes flawed? One competitive advantage could be diversifying their products on their website and optimizing their algorithms to suggest not only relevant clothing items, but also entire outfits that would match their personal style. That would be a major differentiating factor between Nordstrom and companies that are taking the Amazon approach.
