I wonder if in the future it will make sense to unite Waze and Google maps, or will it have to be separated to keep then Waze community live and kicking.
As a heavy Waze user I think Waze should incentivise people to provide more feedback and data, this will allow them to create additional value for their users.

I wonder how data can be used not only to move bikes around but also optimize trucks time and fuel and decide on locating additional stations in totally new locations.
I think one of the challenges NEtflix faces is “being late” with the content presented.
Their competitors are much quicker to display the latest episodes and seasons.
This is something Netflix must resolve to become a true market leader.
Smart move from Google, tapping in to the young set of mind of socializing with many and multiple groups. Google needs to find more ways to push for usage and awareness for the app.
I Love Wikipedia and use it a lot! Close monitoring is required not only from other users but from Wikipedia owners to make sure the content is relevant and accurate.
I really think that the struggle here would be making sure we have enough task posters and tast takers globally, and not just in specific concentrated geographies. How can they make sure this is the case without marketing it locally?
In my opinion the main issue for Care.com is quality. creating a critical mass is crucial for direct and indirect network effects but if the quality of the provided care won’t be up to the clients expectations they would start leaving the platform and won’t be active users who provide positive WOM.
Care.com neet to focus on ensuring the quality of professionals on their network to make sure the network develops and grows.
I like Skype and use it frequently. After spending the summer with Microsoft I am certain they have the ability to technologically improve it to lead in ability, call and video quality and connectivity.
Again, having the larger audience creates a critical mass and draws the attention of Microsoft for product development and monetization options.
I think that FitBit has network effects similar to other fashion product in the sense that seeing other people wear it creates brand awareness and social desirability. Moreover having more and more people buy it creates a situation where the investment in the technology increases and other brands compete for the attention of the growing bigger market.
I believe Netflix Should capitalize its wide user base and find a smart way to incorporate ads into its content. I am not sure if the Hulu ,model is the right recipe but marketing content can become a small part of the Netflix experience without jeopardizing its market share.

Another obstacle Airbnb has is making sure they are not left out while the host and the renters are finalizing terms over email (which the found a way to find out) and leaving the company with no revenues. In my personal experience the hosts are trying to use Airbnb to get leads but complain about the fees and try to find way to leave Airbnb outside of the picture when the deal is actually done and paid for.
More technological measures needed to prevent such transactions and eliminate the violating customers from the system.
I like Walmart’s approach and vision of omnichannel. Additional work is needed to make sure they match competition with service levels in field they are sharing (match
Amazon or Google delivery times and product variety). Offering home deliveries somehow seems to contradict the low value everyday model by providing premium service. It might be best stick to pickup option only for now.

I agree that Nike is kind off winning in the US but I’m not sure this is the picture globally.
Even if you buy the forecasts that Nike global market share at 2020 will be ~27% this isn’t a monopoly or a clear win. I think Nike needs to keep working on maintaining its innovative brand and image and act more on the global arena.
